Remarks:
Doan & Schargel (2003) doubted that cephalolineata was closely related to other species of the genus
Proctoporus
and suggested that it belonged in
Euspondylus
or
Pholidobolus.
Consequently, it was not mentioned by Doan (2003b), Doan & Castoe (2005), and others.
The species was transferred to
Riama
by Sánchez-Pacheco, Torres-Carvajal, Aguirre-Peñafiel, Nunes, Verrastro, Rivas, Rodrigues, Grant & Murphy (2017).
