Contents:
2 species, of which 1 (50.0%) is endemic. Endemism: 0% 100%
Remarks:
Previously considered a monotypic genus, including only wiegmanni.
Gans (2005) revalidated elegans as a separate species, but without discussion.
Salvi, Perera, Sampaio, Carranza & Harris (2018) found three main lineages within the genus, but further studies are needed to establish the taxonomic status
of these.
Pending further studies, Gans (2005) is provisionally followed herein.
