Suggested classification:
Family Lamprophiidae, subfamily Pseudoxyrhophiinae (e.g., Zaher, Grazziotin, Cadle, Murphy, Moura-Leite & Bonatto 2009, by implication).
Remarks: Originally described as a subgenus of Stenophis (now a synonym of Lycodryas). Raised to genus level by Nagy, Glaw & Vences (2010).
Distribution: Madagascar.
