Remarks: Previously included in the genus Gonocephalus (e.g., Wermuth 1967). A species complex, according to Das (1999).
Distribution: India (Andaman & Nicobar Islands [Andaman Islands, Nicobar Islands]).

Remarks: Although the grammatical gender of Coryphophylax is masculine, the ending of the specific epithet, brevicauda, should not be changed to "-us", since it is a noun in aposition, not an adjective (see Böhme & Denzer 2019).
