Contents: 2 species, of which 1 (50.0%) is endemic.
Endemism: 0% 100%
Remarks: Regarded as a synonym of Charina by Kluge (1993a), however, most subsequent publications have retained Lichanura as a valid genus. Placed in a separate family, Charinidae, by Pyron, Reynolds & Burbrink (2014).
Distribution: Mexico (Baja California Norte [incl. Isla Angel de la Guarda, Isla Cedros], Baja California Sur [incl. Isla Cerralvo], Sonora), USA (Arizona, California, Nevada).
