Remarks: Previously regarded as a synonym of Enhydris (e.g., Murphy 2007). Revalidated by Murphy (2011), although already considered a valid genus by Wells & Wellington (1983).
Distribution: As for the single species.

Remarks: The Australian population of this species is regarded as a separate species by some authors (e.g., Wallach, Williams & Boundy 2014), but retained as a synonym of polylepis herein, following Wilson & Swan (2010) and Cogger (2014).
Distribution: Australia (Northern Territory, Queensland), Indonesia (Western New Guinea), Papua New Guinea (Eastern New Guinea).
