Remarks: Previously regarded as a synonym of Epicrates (e.g., Williams & Wallach 1989). Revalidated by Reynolds, Niemiller, Hedges, Dornburg, Puente-Rolón & Revell (2013).
Distribution: West Indies.
Reported from: Bahamas (incl. Great Inagua Bank [incl. Great Inagua], Little Bahama Bank), British Virgin Islands, Cuba (incl. Isla de la Juventud), Dominican Republic, Haiti (incl. Ile de la Gonâve, Île-à-Vache), Jamaica, Puerto Rico (incl. Culebra, Mona), Turks & Caicos Islands (Caicos Islands, Turks Islands), U.S. Virgin Islands.

Remarks: Previously regarded as a subspecies of monensis, but treated as a separate species by Platenberg & Harvey (2010). Reynolds, Niemiller, Hedges, Dornburg, Puente-Rolón & Revell (2013) did not include granti in their study and consequently, made no conclusion regarding the status of this form. However, also Rodríguez-Robles, Jezkova, Fujita, Tolson & García (2015) recognized granti as a separate species.
Distribution: British Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico (incl. Culebra), U.S. Virgin Islands.
