Remarks: Regarded as a synonym of Eugongylus by Böhme (1976), but as a valid genus by most subsequent works (e.g., Sadlier 1987).
Distribution: New Caledonia (Brosse Islet, Grande Terre, Isle of Pines, Loyalty Islands).

Remarks: Regarded as a synonym of garnieri by Böhme (1976), but as a valid species by most subsequent works (e.g., Sadlier 1987; Bauer & Sadlier 2000; Caut, Holden, Jowers, Boistel & Ineich 2013). For more than 130 years known from only a single specimen, until rediscovered in 2003 on Brosse Islet, off Isle of Pines. It is probable that the type specimen was collected on the main island (Grande Terre), but presence there needs confirmation (Caut, Holden, Jowers, Boistel & Ineich 2013).
Distribution: New Caledonia (Brosse Islet).
