Remarks: The taxon albimaculata may represent a separate species (Orofino, Pizzatto & Marques 2010). In spite of older records from Argentina (e.g., Peters & Orejas-Miranda 1970), nigra was deleted from checklists for the country due to lack of vouchers (e.g., Giraudo & Scrocchi 2002), however, it has recently been confirmed from the country (Etchepare, Acosta, Giraudo, Palomas & Abreliano 2015).
