Remarks: Regarded as extinct by Zug, Ineich, Pregill & Hamilton (2012) and Allison, Hamilton & Tallowin (2022). However, Ineich & Böhme (2024) believed that the species is still alive and recommended targeted searches in the last remaining rainforest patches of Eua and the small Kalau Island located south of Eua.
Distribution: Tonga (Tongatapu).
