Südwestasiatischer Tuberkelgeckos

Sydvestasiatiske Tuberkelgekkoer

1874 Bunopus Blanford (type species: Bunopus tuberculatus Blanford 1874)
Contents: 2 species, of which 1 (50.0%) is endemic.
Endemism: 0% 100%
Remarks: Formerly included in Alsophylax (e.g., Wermuth 1965). Revalidated by Szczerbak & Golubev (1977). Previously included Trachydactylus. The reported presence of Bunopus in Egypt (e.g., Saleh 1997) is based on the type locality of blanfordii, which is in error. Already Schmidt (1939) pointed out that the types must have come from Arabia (Baha el Din 2006).

Already Schmidt (1939) pointed out that the types must have come from Arabia (Baha el Din 2006). Bauer, Masroor, Titus-McQuillan, Heinicke, Daza & Jackman (2013) considered blanfordii a valid species pending further investigation.
