Remarks:
All species of this genus, except albiventris were previously placed in a separate genus, Geodipsas, now considered a subgenus of
Compsophis. Geodipsas also previously included three other species (depressiceps, procterae, vauerocegae), which were separated into the genus
Buhoma by Ziegler, Vences, Glaw & Böhme (1997).
