Remarks:
Records from Rio Grande do Sul are erroneous (Costa & Bérnils 2018).
Presence in Guyana is questionable.
There is a single voucher specimen in USNM, originally from NMNH, Paris, labelled 'Guiana'
(Reynolds, MacCulloch, Tamessar, Watson, Cole & Townsend 2008; Cole, Townsend, Reynolds, MacCulloch & Lathrop 2013), but no other records support the presence of the
species in neither Guyana, nor French Guiana or Surinam.
It is herein considered restricted to southeastern Brazil, due to the lack of evidence of its presence anywhere in the Guianan region.
Distribution:
Brazil
(Espirito Santo,
Minas Gerais,
Rio de Janeiro,
Santa Catarina,
Sao Paulo).
