Remarks: Records of nigroluteus from Colombia (Alarcón-Pardo 1978; Pérez-Santos & Moreno 1988; Wallach, Williams & Boundy 2014) refer to Thamnodynastes gambotensis (Sanchez-C., Castaño-M. & Cardenas-A. 1995; Carvajal-Cogollo, Cárdenas-Arévalo & Castaño-Mora 2012; Chaves, Lamar, Porras, Sasa, Solórzano & Sunyer 2016). However, the species may prove to occur in the country near the border to Panama.
