Remarks: Extinct from former range outside the British Virgin Islands. Anegada is home to the only surviving natural population of pinguis, but the species has been reintroduced to other islands in the British West Indies (Edgar 2010).

Introduced to: British Virgin Islands (Guana Island, Little Thatch Island, Moskito Island, Necker Island, Norman Island).
Distribution: British Virgin Islands (Anegada).
