1916 Algiroides hidalgoi Boscá (see remarks)
1958 Algiroides marchi Valverde
1964 Algyroides marchi niethammeri Buchholz (Böhme (ed.) 1981)

Remarks: Sánchez-Vialas, Calvo-Revuelta & García-París (2018) showed that marchi is identical with the earlier described Algiroides hidalgoi Boscá 1916, previously considered a taxon of uncertain status (e.g., Buchholz 1964; Salvador & Palacios 1981). Consequently, they synonymized the former taxon with the latter, to comply with the rules of priority. The taxonomy is provisionally left unchanged herein, since the name marchi has been used in a large number of publications, which could call for a suppression of hidalgoi.
Distribution: Spain.
