altavelensis, aurifer, caudalis, dominicensis, ignigularis, favillarum, properus, ravitergum, and vinosus.
It is still unclear whether Florida populations (described in 1948 as a separate subspecies, floridanus) is actually the result of hybridization between
introduced dominicensis and an unknown, other form (Queiroz & Reeder in Crother (ed.) 2008).
