Remarks: Previously included in Trionyx (e.g., Wermuth & Mertens 1977). Some authors recognize the monotypic genus Oscaria for swinhoei (e.g., Bour & Pritchard in David 1994; Vetter & Van Dijk 2006).
Extinct in: China (Anhui, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang).
Distribution: Middle East, SE. Asia.
