Contents: 2 species, of which 1 (50.0%) is endemic.
Endemism: 0% 100%
Remarks: Sacalia pseudocellata, described from Hainan, China, by Iverson & McCord (1992) proved to be a hybrid between Sacalia quadriocellata and Cuora trifasciata (Vetter & Dijk 2006; Fritz & Havas 2006).
Distribution: China (Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Hong Kong, Hunan, Jiangxi, Yunnan), Laos, Vietnam.

Remarks: Some authors have regarded this species as a synonym of bealei (e.g., Rödel & Praedicow 1988). Validity as a separate species supported by Fu & Zhao (1990). Wang, Ren, Chen, Lyu, Guo, Jiang, Chen, Li, Guo, Wang & Che (2020) listed insulensis as a separate species (referring to the Hainan population of quadriocellata).
