Remarks: Achaval Elena (2001) considered the presence of this species in Uruguay as erroneous, although previously reported from the country (e.g., Amaral 1929; Peters & Orejas-Miranda 1970). However, no specimens were recorded until an introduced specimen was reported by Baldo, Borteiro, Brusquetti, García & Prigioni (2008), but natural occurence in the country remains unverified. Although listed for Surinam by Avila-Pires (2005), the species is not present in the country (Kuijpers 2024).
