Remarks: In most older literature referred to as Crocodilurus lacertinus (Daudin 1802), a name demonstrated to be a synonym of Neusticurus bicarinatus by Massary & Hoogmoed (2001). An old record from Paraguay was almost certainly based on Dracaena paraguayensis (Scott & Cacciali 2011).
Distribution: Brazil (Amapa, Amazonas, Para, Rondonia, Roraima), Colombia, French Guiana, Peru, Venezuela.
