Remarks:
Previously included in
Xenochrophis. Dubey, Meganathan, Vidal & Haque (2012) demonstrated that Ceratophallus vittatus does not belong in
Xenochrophis, but without assigning the species to another genus. Wallach, Williams & Boundy (2014) revalidated Ceratophallus for this purpose.

Presence in Sulawesi needs confirmation, since only a few voucher specimens are available from the island (De Lang & Vogel 2005).
