Remarks: Previously included in Eumeces (e.g., Taylor 1935). Revalidated by Griffith, Ngo & Murphy (2000).
Distribution: SW. Arabian Peninsula, SW. Asia.
Reported from: Afghanistan, India (Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand), Iran, Jordan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Yemen.

Remarks: Taxonomic status has been questioned, suggesting that poonaensis could be a synonym of taeniolatus (e.g., Griffith, Ngo & Murphy 2000), however, the validity of the species was confirmed by Datta-Roy, Deepak, Chaitanya, Murthy, Bhosale, Lajmi, Karanth, Kunte & Giri (2017).
Distribution: India (Maharashtra).

Remarks: Reported a single time from Jordan (Werner 1998), but this specimen may have been introduced. Presence in the country is considered erroneous (Disi, Modrý, Necas & Rifai 2001; Sindaco, Busais, Amr, Ananjeva, Orlov, Papenfuss, Shafiei, Bafti, Nilson, Shestopal, Dujsebayeva, Nuridjanov, Golynsky, Borkin & Milto 2021).
Distribution: Afghanistan, India (Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand), Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Yemen.
