Remarks: Duméril & Bibron's (1839) record (as Tropidosaura capensis) refer to Tropidosaura montana (Berg 2017). Marques, Ceriaco, Blackburn & Bauer (2018) suggested that overlaeti might represent a separate species.

Remarks: Not mentioned by Manacas (1963) or Laurent (1964), who presumably did not consider microlepidota a valid species. Mayer (2015) and Berg (2017) questioned the validity of this species, however, the latter author retained the species, pending further studies.
