Contents: 2 species, of which 1 (50.0%) is endemic.
Endemism: 0% 100%
Remarks: Previously included Hebius and Herpetoreas. Amphiesma was formerly included in Natrix, but separated from that genus by Rossman & Eberle (1977). For a while, Amphiesma was considered a monotypic genus, containing only stolatum, however, monticolum was recently added to the genus. Grammatical gender neuter.
