Remarks: Frost, Janies, Mouton & Titus (2001) regarded Chamaesaura as a synonym of Cordylus, followed by some authors (e.g., Bourquin 2004), but this taxonomical revision has received limited support (Stanley, Bauer, Jackman, Branch & Mouton 2011).
Distribution: Angola, Congo-Kinshasa, Eswatini, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, South Africa (Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Western Cape), Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
