1995 Xenophidion Günther & Manthey (type species: Xenophidion acanthognathus Günther & Manthey 1995)
Contents: 2 species, both of which are endemic.
Endemism: 0% 100%
Remarks: The classification of Xenophidion has been confused. Variously included in Colubridae (e.g., Günther & Manthey 1995), Tropidophiidae: subfamily Xenophidioninae (e.g., Zug, Vitt & Caldwell 2001), or Bolyeriidae (e.g., Grazziotin, Zaher, Ferrarezzi, Klaczko, Bonatto & Wilkinson 2007). Currently, the genus is assigned to its own family, Xenophidiidae (e.g., Iskandar & Colijn 2001; Pyron, Burbrink & Wiens 2013; Wallach, Williams & Boundy 2014). The genus has also been found in Sumatra, but this report was based on a photo and has not been assigned to species level (Quah, Grismer, Jetten, Wood, Miralles, Sah, Guek & Brady 2018).

Distribution: Indonesia (Sumatra), Malaysia (Sabah, Sarawak, West Malaysia).
