Contents: 4 species, of which 2 (50.0%) are endemic.
Endemism: 0% 100%
Remarks: Some authors have included Cyclophiops (previously Entechinus), now a synonym of Ptyas, in this genus. Previously included the species now assigned to Anguiculus and Gongylosoma, as well as Opisthotropis kikuzatoi. L. frenatus was assigned to the genus Eirenis.
Distribution: SE. Asia, Malay Archipelago.
Reported from: Brunei, Cambodia, China (Yunnan), India (Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, West Bengal), Indonesia (Bangka, Java, Kalimantan, Nias, Riau Islands, Sumatra, Weh), Laos, Malaysia (Sabah, Sarawak, West Malaysia [incl. Remarks: A specimen referred to tricolor by Orlov & al. (2003, as 'L. cf. tricolor') and Nguyen & al. (2009), from Lam Dong Province, Viet Nam, may be conspecific with the record of stoliczkae from adjacent eastern Cambodia reported by Stuart & al. (2006) (Grismer, Chan-Ard & Diesmos 2012). Present in the past, but not confirmed recently from Singapore (Baker & Lim 2008).
Extinct in: Singapore.
