Eremias nova [justified emendation] Sindaco, Venchi & Grieco 2013 |
Remarks:
There appears to be some confusion concerning the name Eremias novo. This was a temporary name for some populations subsequently identified as Eremias montana inhabiting the alpine meadows of Alvand Mountains in Hamedan Province (Bafti, Sharifi & Papenfuss 2009, citing pers. comm. with N. Rastegar-Pouyani, September 2008). Nevertheless, Eremias novo has subsequently been listed as a valid species by some authors (e.g.. Sindaco, Venchi & Grieco 2013; Smid, Moravec, Kodym, Kratochvil, Yousefkhani, Rastegar-Pouyani & Frynta 2014).

2010 | |
Eremias multiocellata tsaganbogdensis Munkhbayar & Borkin |
Remarks:
Previously included stummeri and yarkandensis.
Some older records of multiocellata may represent confusions with stummeri or yarkandensis.
Records from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are herein tentatively assigned to stummeri, although Ananjeva, Orlov, Khalikov, Darevsky, Ryabov & Barabanov (2006)
reported multiocellata (but also stummeri and yarkandensis) from Kyrgyzstan.
However, according to Sindaco & Jeremchenko (2008), the westernmost record of multiocellata is in far eastern Kazakhstan.
