Remarks: Chippaux & Jackson (2019) included Nigeria in the distribution, but no localities in the country were shown in their map. No other references have been found to support the presence of the species in Nigeria.

Remarks: Records from Chad refer to smythii, according to Trape, Kodindo, Djiddi, Mad-Toïngué & Kerah (2020). Nevertheless, Chaney & al. (2024) still included Chad in the distribution of tholloni, but without plotting any localities in the range map, and without listing any examined specimens from the country.
