Remarks:
Previously included pyrrhogularis.
Specimens recorded from Rondonia (Vanzolini 1986) represent an undescribed species (Avila-Pires 1995).
Specimens recorded from Para (Brazil) are believed to have wrong locality data (Avila-Pires 1995).
Records from Bolivia represent abalosi (Arias, Recoder, Álvarez, Etchepare, Quipildor, Lobo & Rodrigues 2018).
Records from Paraguay represent abalosi or apipensis (Cacciali, Scott, Aquino-Ortiz, Fitzgerald & Smith 2016; Arias, Recoder, Álvarez, Etchepare, Quipildor, Lobo & Rodrigues 2018).
The described distribution in Aparicio, Avila-Pires, Moravec & Nogueira (2019) is in strong disagreement with the map provided by these authors.
