Remarks:
Now restricted to mainland Papua New Guinea and New Britain, but previously included the populations now assigned
to addisoni, eurydice, and lestes (Kraus 2017).
Kraus (2017) did not mention any records of the genus Gerrhopilus from New Britain, although he suspected lestes or a similar species to be found in
the island.
Nevertheless, G. depressiceps was reported from New Britain by several authors (Allison & Bigilale 2001; Foufopoulos 2001; Foufopoulos & Richards 2007).
The New Britain population is herein provisionally referred to depressiceps, pending further studies on the taxonomic status of this population,
if confirmed present.

(Bismarck Archipelago
[New Britain],
Eastern New Guinea).

| |
Gerrhopilus manilae Pyron & Wallach 2014 |
Remarks:
Known from only a single specimen from the Philippines without exact locality data, but probably from Luzon (McDiarmid, Campbell & Touré 1999).
Leviton, Siler, Weinell & Brown (2018) listed the species for Bohol, but presumably in error, since this island is not mentioned in their species account and
no Bohol localities are plotted in the distribution map.

Typhlopidae
to the family Gerrhopilidae by Pyron & Wallach (2014).
Distribution:
Philippines
(Luzon).
